I am ... an allround performer from Guadeloupe, I was born and raised in Paris.
I am passionnate about performing arts. For me, although technique is extremely important, all art forms should be approached through its depth to allow it to take an unique shape.
My passion for the performing arts began to grow in me from a very young age. From primary school I started writing 'novels'. I learned to tap into my creative side early on, I grew a huge interest in dancing and singing early in my youth.
Around 14, I started training in hip-hop dancing with the pioneers of the craft in the centre of Paris.
I then quickly started to expand my artistic vision by meeting/dancing with
dancers coming from other backgrounds (salsa, modern jazz, contemporary ...).
I soon realized that life was not so different from arts. It is creative by nature. However, I realized that the daily hurdles we encounter do not always allow us to create a truly inspiring life for ourself. The society we live in does not always make it easy on us to shine through our differences, but because creativity is unique to each individual, a creative being is necessarily different and ought to express it in order to be feel fulfilled. This is how I learned to accept myself, it gave me confidence to lead the life I wanted to lead and understand that conformity was not always the right way to a fulfilled life.
At the age of twenty, I left Paris and moved to London, where I lived for ten years.
Fan of the Do It Yourself philosophy, I taught myself english in no time with books in order to find work as quickly as possible. I started attending casting and auditions. One thing led to another and I found myself working as a performing artist again.
In parallel, I continued training ,took singing, dancing and drama classes at Stratford Circus, Goldsmiths College and Pinneapple Studios and dedicated a lot of my time to my daily practice. It didn't take me too long to find an agent (Seb Holden, SOS Agency) who allowed me to sign contracts as a dancer and model.
Through my work I travelled in most European countries and in the great continents like Asia, Africa and America working with Nike, Dr. Martens, MTV to name a few well known brands.
It was only in 2005 that I landed my first role as an actor with the English National Opera in La Clemenza Di Tito. From then my passion for the craft of acting grew up, I studied the Stanislavsky system and the art of improvisational theater through the works of Keith Johnstone.
After working in UK for 10 years, I left London to reflect on my life. I needed to take some time to assess my objectives again.
Since my arrival in Guadeloupe in 2011 the amount of work I have had so far has exceeded my expectations. (see CV). I am blessed!
Although I am an artist at heart, and refuse to be confined to a label, I am developping my acting career while remaining open to other opportunities that life could offer me as a dancer or a show host for example.
However, I feel that I am ready to fly and that my time in Guadeloupe comes to an end as I have gathered all the training and experience that I needed in order to succeed again in the big cities, which I know can be quite demanding. I am now opening up again to oversees opportunities and why not relocate if need be.
